# Samarth Ramdas

Ramdas was one of the greatest saints of the world. He was the inspirer of Shivaji. He was born of Suryaji Panth and Renuka Bai in Jamb, Maharashtra, in 1608 A.D. His original name was Narain.

Ramdas was a contemporary of Sant Tukaram. He was a great devotee of Hanuman and Lord Rama. He had Darshan of Lord Rama even when he was a boy. Lord Rama Himself initiated him.He uttered Lord Ram’s name 13 crore (13 followed by seven zeroes) times. As a result of such a tremendous devotion, he was gifted with 8 powers by Lord Ram Himself, who appeared and asked him to start the movement to renew righteousness. Shivaji on Ramdas' advice treated his kingdom as a trust and ruled justly on behalf of God. Ramdas was a gifted composer and He was one of the greatest spiritual poets and supreme sages of India.
"Dasbodh" is a very important composition and Dasbodh was translated in most of the prominent Indian languages, and is available all over the world. Dattatreya appeared and gave darshan to him. He asked all to see Lord Rama in all creatures also, love all, feel Lord’s presence everywhere and surrender unto Him for attaining immortality and eternal bliss.

I would like to share with you something which I feel often how the poetic world is going to shape up, its sad and horrific,The art of poetry is to evoke emotions. That’s hard to do if we don’t connect with emotions. Poetry uses forms and conventions to suggest differential interpretation to words, or to evoke emotive responses,at the same time we need to appreciate and motivate our fellow poets, I wonder why poets are not good readers , what it takes them to appreciate and smile, it is said often when man is walking towards arrogance,poetry reminds the limitations,poets reminds the richness of diversity , I wonder who will remind a poet when poet walking and leading towards arrogance, lets not be poetically gross, I humbly request please do appreciate your fellow poets and make it a peaceful and enlightening journey of intellect , please do comment how you feel about this????

*బెంగలూర్ లో పుట్టినా....డాన్స్ మీద మక్కువతో ఉదయశంకర్ ట్రూప్ లో చేరారు. 1944 లో ప్రభాత్ ఫిల్మ్ కంపెనీ లో కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ & అసిస్టెంట్ డైరెక్టర్ గా చేరినప్పుడు....ఆయనకు దేవ్ ఆనంద్ ...బెస్ట్ ఫ్రెండ్ అయ్యాడు.*

*చాంద్(1944), లఖా రాణి(45) లలో నటించినా....తనే దర్శకత్వం వహించిన బాజి(1951)(హీరో దేవానంద్) రిలీజ్ అయ్యేంతవరకు గుర్తింపు రాలేదు! మొదటి నుండి దర్శకత్వం, ప్రొడక్షన్ మీదే దృష్టి. ఆ తరువాత 1953 లో గాయని గీతా రాయ్ ని పెళ్ళాడి గీతా దత్ ను చేశాడు.*

*ఆర్ పార్(1954), మిస్టర్ & మిసెస్ 55(1955) లాంటి మూవీస్ లో నటించినా...ఈ రెగులర్ కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మెట్స్....ఏ మాత్రం సంతృప్తినిచ్చేవి కావు! ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా...అభినందించగలిగే మూవీస్ తీయాలి. అవి ఫారిన్ కంట్రీస్ లో కూడా పేరు తెచ్చుకోవాలి.ఇదీ అతని ధ్యేయం!*

*ప్రజలకు...మా లగ్జరీలు, కార్లు, బంగళాలు, ఫారిన్ టూర్లు ....ఇలాంటివి కనిపిస్తాయి గానీ...వాటికోసం...మేము ఏం కోల్పోతున్నామో తెలుసుకోలేరు! అవి పొందడానికి...మేమెంత మూల్యం చెల్లిస్తున్నామో కూడా ఐడియా ఉండదు!*....అనేవాడు గురుదత్!*

*ప్యాసా(1957) & కాగజ్ కె ఫూల్(1959) రెండు మాస్టర్ పీసెస్ తీశాడు గురుదత్. ప్యాసా ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా పేరు తెచ్చుకుంది. అదే తెలుగు లో 20 సంవత్సరాల తరువాత మల్లెపువ్వు గా తెలుగు లో తీశారు! *

*కాగజ్ కె ఫూల్....అందరూ మెచ్చుకున్నా....డబ్బు రాలలేదు! ఇంత చక్కటి ఫిల్మ్...తీసినా...ప్రజలకు పట్టలేదంటే.....ఇక నేనసలు చిత్రాలు డైరెక్ట్ చేయను ...అని పట్టుబట్టి...అది చివరిదాకా నిలుపుకున్నాడు.*

*ఆయన పోయిన తరువాత....కాగజ్ కె ఫూల్ ....ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తం గా పేరొంది....క్లాసిక్ గా గుర్తింపు పొందింది..మరి! అదే చిత్రం!*

*గీతా దత్ కు ముగ్గురు పిల్లలు. గురుదత్....వహిదా రెహ్ మాన్ తో ప్రేమలో పడ్డాడు. అసలావిడను బొంబాయి తీసుకొచ్చి...మొట్టమొదట సి.ఐ.డి (1956) లో నటింప చేసింది గురుదత్తే! (దానికి ముందు తెలుగులో ఏరువాక సాగారో...పాటకు నృత్యం చేసింది.) దాన్ని చూసే...గురుదత్ ఇంప్రెస్ అయ్యాడు.*

*ఇక వహీదా తో ఒన్ సైడ్ లవ్ అయ్యింది. వహీదా అంతగా స్పందించలేదంటారు. నటన మాత్రం అందిపుచ్చుకుని...అగ్రస్థానానికెళ్ళింది. అయినా పెళ్ళై..పిల్లలున్న వాడ్ని...ఎందుకు ప్రేమించాలి ఆవిడ! మరి గురుదత్ ....శైలే అది. అన్నీ విపరీతమే! అప్పుడప్పుడు ...డిప్రెషన్ కు లోనై....ఆత్మహత్యా యత్నాలు కూడా చేశాడు! *

*ఆ తరువాత నటించాడు కానీ...డైరెక్ట్ చెయ్యలేదు. చౌద్వీ కా చాంద్(60), సాహెబ్ బీబీ ఔర్ గులాం(1962)...లాంటి కొన్ని మూవీస్ లో నటించినా ...తన మనస్సు....సినిమాల మీద లేదు!

*1964 దాకా నటిస్తూనే ఉన్నాడు. ఆ సంవత్సరంలోనే.....బహారే ఫిర్ భి ఆయేంగా లో ఓ సీన్ నటించి...హోటల్ కెళ్ళాక....రాత్రి నిద్రించిన తరువాత మరి తెల్లవారి లేవ లేదు! శాశ్వత నిద్రలోకి జారుకున్నాడు . ఓవర్ డోస్ ఆఫ్ స్లీపింగ్ పిల్స్ అంటారు. పిల్స్ & ఆల్కహాల్ అంటారు! ఏదైనా...ఈ సినీ జీవితాల లోని....బోలు మనస్థత్వం.....అంతర్ముఖుడైన(ఇంట్రావర్ట్) గురుదత్ జీర్ణించుకోలేక పోయాడు. మరలి రాని లోకాలకు తరలి పోయాడు 39 ఏళ్ళకే!
