అనేక ఏళ్ళుగా,యుగయుగాలుగా దైవభక్తి,దేశభక్తి,దయ,కరుణ,సేవాభావం  తదితర సద్గుణాలకు భారతదేశం ప్రతీకగా నిలిచింది.
అందుకే ఎందరో భారతీయులు,విదేశీయులు కోట్లమంది భారతీయతను ఆదర్శంగా తీసుకుంటారు.
అలజడులు,అశాంతి సృష్టించి ఈ దేశాన్ని అస్థిరపరచాలనుకుంటున్న కొందరు కవులు,రచయితలు,కళాకారులు,సెలబ్రెటీలు,రాజకీయ రాజకీయేతరులు స్వాతంత్ర్యానికి కాస్త అటూ ఇటుగా ఉన్న మన పొరుగు  దేశాలు ఆఫ్ఘాన్, పాకిస్తాన్ ఇపుడు ఎలాగ ఉన్నాయి,భారతదేశం ఎలాగ ఉంది ఓ సారి పరిశీలించాలి! మనుషులకే సొంతమైన బుధ్ధి ,జ్ఞానం,విజ్ఞతను ప్రదర్శించి ఇకనైనా  తప్పులను దిద్దుకోవాలి.

ధర్మదేవత సత్యసంధతతో ఈ అనంత సృష్టిని నడిపించటానికి ధీరులను భారతదేశానికి ప్రసాదిస్తూనే ఉంటుంది!

దళవాయి చలపతిరావుకు    తోలుబొమ్మలాట  వారసత్వంగా అబ్బిన కళ. నేర్పుతో                నిష్ణాతుడయ్యాడు. ఆయన ఎందరో యువ కళాకారులను తీర్చిదిద్దిన ‘శిల్పగురు’. అవార్డులు, గుర్తింపు, అందలం కేవలం ‘కులాకారులకు’ మాత్రమే దక్కుతున్న ఈ రోజుల్లో వాటికి దూరంగా ఈ అపురూపమైన కళను బ్రతికించే పనిలో ఉన్న అసలైన ‘కళాకారుడు’ అయన. 
 ఎట్టకేలకు ఆయన కృషికి గుర్తింపుగా దళవాయి గారికి పద్మశ్రీ పురస్కారం దక్కింది.

దళవాయి చలపతిరావు గారికి పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డు ప్రకటించినందుకు ప్రభుత్వానికి ధన్యవాదాలు.


ఈ అవార్డు గుర్తింపుకు నోచుకోని పేద సీమ కళాకారులకు దక్కిన గుర్తింపు.
